My Story
I said screw it.
Twice.
In my last career, every choice was made for me. The path, the pace, the ceiling. Other people decided how my hard work would be rewarded. I bought my first home at 24 and always had a pull toward real estate, but I kept waiting for the right moment. When I realized my former career had probably already peaked and I was still in my early 30s, I stopped waiting.
I jumped in with nothing but the desire to make it work. I used quarters to put gas in my car to get to the next appointment. I drove Uber. I bartended. I went back to doing hair part time. Whatever it took. Not because I was failing, because I refused to stop.
By 2022 I realized that having a broker control my license felt exactly like my old life. So I said screw it again. I went back to school, got my broker license, and opened Realty Forward in late 2023. My broker license and the brokerage went live on the same day. In true Kelly fashion, I ripped the bandaid off and went full force.
Properties Forward came from a client who needed to keep his house while moving to Japan. I figured it out. The MLO role at NEXA Lending came from wanting to truly understand what my buyers go through. Everything I built started with someone needing something and me refusing to say I can't help.
What I built has become bigger than I imagined. Which has given me room to imagine even bigger.
